Last Minute Announcements

PARKING:

Parking in Romsey is at worst, bad and at best, not good and so if you are attending the wedding then the golden rule is to allow plenty of time to find a parking space. On our FAQs page there are details on where to park but it is by no means guaranteed (It should cost no more than £2 in the public car parks).

Parking at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens for our guest that will be driving there is a little bit easier. Please fill up all the available spaces first and then just park where you can after that should all the spaces be filled, although we are not anticipating that happening.

If you intend to leave your car overnight at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens then you may do so free of charge but you will need to ensure that the duty manager at the Visitor Centre has your details and car registration number.

JOURNEY TIMES:

Below is the suggested amount of time to allow for your journey from popular guest locations:

Southampton Area: 30 Minutes.

Chichester Area: 1 hour, 15 minutes.

Worthing : 2 hours.

The journey times are based on how long it should take you to arrive at Romsey and find parking. We anticipate you being able to start taking your seats inside the church from 12:30pm onwards in time for the wedding which will begin at exactly 1pm.

EVENING INVITATIONS:

Just a quick note on this, we have now finalised the numbers from your RSVP forms. If you have chosen to attend alone then it is now not possible to change that to two people.

Our light barbecue meal will be held between 8:30 – 9:30pm. The assumption we have made is that unless we have already been informed otherwise on the RSVP form, that all of our guests will be staying to the end of the evening or near the end of the evening (Around 11pm). We do not think there are any of you planning to leave early but if there are any of you planning on leaving before the barbecue then if you could Contact Us and let us know then that would be helpful.

TAXIS:

These need to be pre-booked or of course you can just use a mobile phone on the night but the staff at the venue will regrettably be unable to telephone a taxi for you.

BREAKAGES:

We have opted not to bother with insurance so if we can try not to break anything that would be useful and the gardens as nice as they are, if you could remember that the trees cannot be freely chopped down and taken home as a souvenir!

Please also read our FAQs page and Contact Us if you have any other questions about Saturday.

See you all Soon!
