Saturday Wedding Evening EventThe evening event is where the entertainment really gets going. At 7pm we launch the entertainment with our first dance. The piece of music has been uniquely arranged for our wedding and will be performed live by a duo from our evening band. Then join us and the band in a time-travel experience as we begin the evening by travelling back 70 years in music to 1940 to hear a chart hit from that era and although we do not believe it is a strict tempo arrangement, it is a piece to kick start the evening and we recommend just getting up and throwing your legs and arms around and have a bit of fun to this fast Jive arrangement.
After the barbecue, there will be more live band music between 9:30pm - 11pm and during this time you will receive a piece of wedding cake. The evening will then end at 11pm after 4 hours of live entertainment. During the evening, we are also providing funding for the venue to provide a bar and bar staff. The bar will be located opposite the band but due to the overall funding requirements of the day, we regrettably are unable to subsidise the bar prices. Note: Cloakrooms are located to the right of the bar, along the passage, past the band.
Dancing The area we have designated for the dance floor is the restaurant area of the Visitor Centre (Naturally most of the tables will be removed as we do not want anyone dancing on them!). However, the floor is tiled and not particularly big and therefore this will offer a challenging and unusual dancing experience to those of you that are used to a more traditional dance floor. The band will play mainly strict tempo music suitable for dancing Ballroom, Latin and Jive. In addition, the band will also play 20% pop and other music from various eras including some Frank Sinatra. If you are attending the evening with a partner, then we will be arranging a quick 10 minute demonstration in Ballroom enabling anyone to dance to anything played throughout the evening. For those of you that really only wish to watch then there will be a seating area inside and outside (weather permitting) for you to be entertained by a live band playing music from the 1940s - Present.
